Experience:
As a principal, Mr. Wu has primary responsibility for the firm’s structural engineering projects related to civil and industrial structures.These projects include vehicular, pedestrian and golf cart bridges, pump stations, lift stations, retaining walls, environmental structuers, public works facilities and other civil structures.
Since joining the firm in 1997, Mr. Wu has been responsible for the structural design of bridges, environmental structures, water and wastewater facilities, retaining walls and a wide variety of building types. He has developed a strong reputation for responsive service and technical excellence, and has established himself as an outstanding engineer in the area of civil structures, particularly bridges and retaining structures.
Notable projects include:
- Rollingwood Towne Center Bridge in Austin. Project consists of a single span, 80’ prestressed concrete I-
beam bridge designed to support an 8’ wide x 30” deep landscaping planter in the median. Stone veneer arched facades were designed at both faces of the bridge to conceal the prestressed concrete beams. - McNeil-
CMTA Overpass in Williamson County, Texas. The structure consists of a 3- span, 323’ bridge on a 60 degree skew over an existing Southern Pacific railway. - Discovery Boulevard Bridge in Cedar Park, Texas. Project consists of a 4-
span, 134’ long precast concrete arch bridge with TxDOT decorative C411 railings and mechanically stabilized retaining walls. The bridge was designed to be a primary feature of the new Cedar Park downtown center. - Cimmarron Hills Trail West Bridge in Georgetown, Texas. Project consists of a 5-
span, 400’ prestressed concrete I- beam bridge on a horizontal curve. The bridge was located along a golf course and included custom designed decorative railings covered with masonry stone veneer. - LCRA Chemical Storage Building in Bee Cave, Texas.
